*****TRIGGER WARNING******
During the visit with my therapist today, I told her about some of the memories I have of an adult rubbing my thighs, sliding up....ect. I had to explain to her that other people's hands are a trigger.
Now the child alter is upset. I didn't know I had this alter, but she's around two. She's not communicating with me through words, but she's sending me visual memories of some of the stuff that went on.
I don't know how to help her, but I need her to stop sending me these "pictures". I can't take any more. I need to know how to deal with her, how to comefort her, and how to get her to stop showing me.

Ugh. I can REALLY relate to this situation right now. The other night I was being shown images and what-not and couldn't get them to stop. I asked directly inside for it to stop and well, perhaps they did listen because it did stop, eventually. Have you got someone in your system who can "look after her" inside. Have you got a cuddly toy around that you can "give" to her to cuddle? These are things I have tried in the past.

I'm making a place for her in my "safe house" and giving her toys, stuffed animals, ect to play with. She stopped showing me pictures, and is just crying now. I just wish I knew how to help her.

You are helping her. By giving her a safe place to stay and some comforting toys. That is help. I know it's unbearable when little's cry though.

I took a shower and sung her lullabies to calm her down. She's asleep right now; no more crying.

I've only just got here - so the reply is a bit late. The way you've been looking after her is beautiful. How is she doing now? Yes, the pain is almost too much sometimes, isn't it? I thought I remembered how bad it was, but I feel what one of my others has been feeling, and think, "oh, this is why I had to split!" - it's so much worse than I remembered. I don't know you at all, but I want to say, well done for feeling it and for taking care of her. I know something of how hard it is.

Wow. This is such a good idea. Just hot diagnosed after 2 yrs in therapy. T knows how it talk and soothe my little one. But I haven't known what to do at home. I just got a stuffed animal. A kitty cat since I've always loved cats. It helps a lot. I keep it in my car because being alone and driving can cause me panic attacks and switching.
