dissociating during a job interview

Recently I was on a job interview and I dissociated during the middle of it. The next thing I remember is the lady talking to me and I had no idea what it was she was talking about. I felt very imbarrased and frustrated. I have dissociated before and know what it feels like. How do you prevent this from happening if you can? Needless to say I didn't get the job. The lady was looking at me like I was weird. I don't know which alter was there before me so i don't know what took place. Now I'm scared on going to further job interviews as if they weren't hard enough without the added burden of dissociating. Any suggestions would be grately appreciated.

Are you a person who has been diagnosed with DID? Or did you just space out? I don't know enough about your situation to offer any feedback. I've gotten nervous and lost focus at job interviews before, and also not gotten the job.

What did the dissociation consist of. Can you describe it?
