Your head sensations

Postby walden » Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:09 pm

So what sensations you get in your head/mind? Lately I have a pretty constant acute hot poking sensation on the top of my head. Pressure behind your eyes? Electrical sensations, sometimes in multiple places?

No!

I become consumed in deeper thought.. Its more with my nervous system and my feelings... Next thing I know, I wake up.. My head does hurt in a sense as I remember... Its an aching throb kind of thing. A deeper feeling...

What triggers me is the deeper thinking. I become consumed, begin to dissociate, then I wake up later not knowing what happened..

When I dissociate, since I am sometimes co-conscious (although I forget some bits and pieces later)
I feel my head is numb, as if there is an expanding air bubble in it..and I cant think, I cant remember anything, and depending on who is out sometimes I shake, sometimes I rock back and forth (which is embarassing)
my head is very heavy and sometimes it hurts..sometimes I have to just let it rest on my hand..
really really deep switches sometimes make me fall asleep.
Im very sad inside :( very sad.

Same here- and it's very embarrassing when it happens in public for me too. Shivering as if cold too? Shaking back and forth as to console oneself? I let him, but at the same time I console him. I try to provide the voice of reason he so longed for.

The not remembering anything is rough :( It's weird how it comes back as an echo sometimes..I love the powers of imagination and hate them sometimes too.

oh yes, sometimes my teeth chatter and everything. Sometimes its due to flashbacks, and sometimes its a specific alter that shakes and rocks...Ive had another alter console the shaking alter and sing to it.

Its strange..when im co-conscious because I see it happening but cant do antyhing about it.
Im very sad inside :( very sad.

Weird sensations inside my head? Oh yeah.

Alter 1 used to occupy a space inside my forehead. I would "feel" emotions, "taste" flavors in connection with other people's behavior, all in that space. Now that we are integrated, I have those experiences in my body.

Alter 4 (or someone else) plays with my right ear, and lately someone has been taking over the right side of my face.

A creepy black thing sometimes manifests squirming around in the lower back quarter of my brain.

Once while reading in a DID memoir about a spontaneous integration, I had a sensation of a sudden bubble of hot liquid bursting in the upper right quarter of my brain, and soaking my entire brain.

In almost every therapy session when I feel a presence trying to emerge, someone inside trying to take executive control and speak, there is a resistance and a sensation of sudden intense pressure inside my skull, as if my head is about to explode.

Yeah. I can relate to the exploding sensation. It literally feels like my brain is being pulled into two sometimes if there is a fight for control.

I get totally lost inside my head. I feel like black ink has been poured into my head and my eyes blur until I see nothing. I have no senses at all when its happening. Like omnicell said I also wake up not knowing what's happened a lot of the time. It leaves me with a terrible headache. The time is just lost while it's happening.

I get the black shadow between my left eye, & left lobe of my brain.
A knife stabbing me on the right temple.
A feeling of someone, grabbing my head with two hands and squeezing hard like a melon about to pop.
A "movement" swirling feeling inbetween my eyebrows, it tingles.
A bursting of veins feeling underneath both eyes, (like when one vomits too much and busts capillaries in the face).
A dunk the top portion of my head in ice water, top of my head flowing down to about nose level; which also coincidence when my angry alter gets out of control, who feels like my eyes dilate wildly.
A "movement" feeling, near the base of my skull, usually with mild pressure.
A sinus pressure, and popping feeling on my nose like I'm being punched in the face.
Sometimes a bubble/pressure feeling from the back of my head moving to the front of my face.(sometimes, that feeling is like two separate bubbles moving forward then backing up and disappearing).
And various tingly/numb-like feelings, accompanied by mild pressure and headaches.

I can relate to so much of this. I have a pressure type feeling above my brain inside my skull and sometimes it feels like there is liquid being spread across my whole brain surface. I sometimes wonder if an aneurysm has burst and the blood is leaking everywhere. My brain shakes to the point I can't move for a moment or speak or hear. I understand everything everyone's saying but what I don't understand is how does any of this have to do with dissociation? Thanks.
