it talks back

Postby brandonsmom777 » Tue Feb 28, 2012 10:43 pm

So I was telling my T today about the voices that I hear and that usually during the day I can't make out much what is being said when I fall asleep or am just resting in bed I can usually have a conversation w them. I just dont remember the next day. Of course last night I didn't hear anything at all and havn't slept that soundly in I dont remember when. How can I get this voice to talk to me so I can get some information? I dont get why its silent now. This all sounds so freakin crazy which is why I was reluctant to bring it up to T anyway. I need to get better. How will talking to this voice help me and I wonder where my T is going with this? Any thoughts? thank u.

I find that writing a question addressed to anyone else within your body is a good way to get a response. I have a sketchbook too for everyone's use - which is great for those in my system who don't write well or don't know how to write. I've found that posing a question is definitely helpful. Not only have I learned more about my own past, but communication has built up between all of us and we get along and work together as a group for it.

Um. it depends.

How will talking to this voice help me and I wonder where my T is going with this?
Like if I have a nagging cr@ppy feeling, and I don't know why, I'll look inside and ask, many times a part wants to talk about something that bugged them. It certainly beats feeling odd all day w/o knowing why. Plus with me, open communication really helps with the headaches, involuntary dissociation/DP/DR, switching and overall body pain.
