"non did here"
Concerning, transferance of emotions towards an individual. Can a protector alter use this influence from the inside to to protect the person? Could it be a safty valve, in a way the the protector is influencing emotions in an area that they may actually feel is a safe one, but provides a relief for some other area of the person? Thanks

I would say yes.
Reason being that two weeks ago, the T said something and it caused me to realize that even though we've started to trust her more. We were talking about something Violet had brought up and the T suddenly stood up and started comparing her height to that of a six year old. It suddenly occurred to us that the T is not gigantically huge and ridiculously scary. I realize that sounds kind of weird and the more I think about it, the sillier it sounds. When I mentioned this to my T, she cocked her head and asked, "Who was scared of me?" I'm pretty sure I know who it was/is, but until that moment I hadn't realized how much it was affecting me personally even though it wasn't a belief I held.
We're not invited.

hello, Do you think this could have been done intentionally by a protector to protect? Or something that was just happening by internal influence..... thanks.

It has been my experience, especially when we first really started splitting apart at the seam,s that anyone, expecially the protectors, will do ANYTHING, ANYTHING, they feel they need to in order to protect.

I agree with Alln1, a protector protects however they feel will keep everyone safe, even if it isn't the most convenient. The Gatekeeper, possibly, depending on a system, too.
For example, the most traumatic experience of my boyfriend's life happened when he was eight. Therefore that memory and it's aftermath are held by the older alter such as HIM and Jack, and intentionally blocked from Chibi or Kiddo because the two older alters are system protectors.
