Hi mow59,

Healing does have many perspectives, And writing helps. Ive worked in 12 step groups for years with the goal of healing. Writing is an essential part of the 12 step experience. I write journals as well...

I believe in God, and pray all the time...

I have a small network of friends that I can call if I need to talk. They are not perfect. They are what I have to work with..

I have a church I attend, and can play the piano in the church when I need to let out energy.

I have online forums like this to explore and visit..

It takes time. Feel, deal, and heal.....

I've been in private counseling for years, and visit group counseling several times a month when I need it.

DVDs on social connection helps, dissociative disorder has created great havoc in my relationship life. Any information on how to reconnect with others is a welcome tool... Ive used these DVDs, or things on Youtube of this nature, and they work when I apply them.

Its not easy.. The general public does not have to understand these types of problems. They don't care that they don't understand Psych based problems. At times I need to reach out to someone. Most of the time I get judged. The general public does not have a reference point for such problems as I suffer from.. Therefore life gets lonely.. At that point, I pray , go to a meeting, create some music, and write...

Healing does occur over time if Im willing to do the work, and look into the different tools of recovery that help on a daily basis.
