Body Memories

Postby mosaicmonkey » Tue Dec 06, 2011 7:29 pm

I'm currently acting as host because our main has gone inside. One of our littles is having some serious flashbacks, and even though I can't see it, I can feel them. Anyone ever experienced that before? I can feel everything and it hurts so bad. I wasn't made for/to deal with trauma and even though I know bits of what happened to us, I don't know much. I'm just in agony :'(

I'm glad you posted that. While I don't really want to share today, but I get them too. I get them with flashbacks. I feel real pain in my body sometimes.

This is one of those "I'm glad I'm not alone" moments.

*hugs if wanted*

Sorry that's happening, Ker. I wish I could help some. But I have the same problem.

Hi Ker,

One thing that helps us if someone is experiencing a body memory is to try to do some guided imagery (if you have a CD then that would work well). We have an old shoulder injury this works well for. Basically, take the idea that you will feel better after the fact and that helps so much.

Good luck!
