super intense.

Like I said he practices emotion focused therapy (EFT) and to be honest I don't know WTF he was asking about most of the time. But I felt like he engaged most of us which was freaky. He engaged my little 3 times but my little was sad, not playful like normal. He noticed when my little came up to the front. IT was odd. He would say "what just happened there" It was perhaps the oddest most intense emotional experience I have had.

I'd like to describe it more. I just don't have the words atm. I'd like to draw the perspective from each of my parts. THis is a helluva lot to deal with.

As Una said, I think it sounds like that T is a keeper. I hope you can all process the session.

Yes I know the feeling you are talking about and I agree it is a very odd feeling indeed. I got this feeling you describe when my therapist, in about the 2nd or third session I had with him, decided to talk to everyone at once. Made us all feel very very unusual...Image It was a super intense experience that is a bit indescribable.

It's great that he was spotting the switches and engaging with all the different parts, that sounds like a very positive start indeed. :D

This therapist is talking through the host to the insiders. The best description of talking though that I have found so far is in Treating dissociative identity disorder: the power of the collective heart by Sarah Y. Krakauer (2001; Taylor & Francis).

Oh thank you. :D It's very interesting to know that that technique has a name. :D I really always enjoy how you post relevant information and links sometimes, I'm a bit lazy go combining through a whole lot of crap resources to find the good ones, so I'm always very pleased when you've already done that bit and come up with the good stuff for us here. :D I think I might read that book, it looks quite interesting to me...

Una+ I can't atm look this up but did you come to this conclusion based on what you read? I never thought I guess that he actually was going for the DID from the outset. But thinking back now I had a phone conversation with the director to find a suitable match (and spoke of the feeling if others) and then I spoke with him (my T) and he did ask me if I had any thing against integration in the sense of all co-existing. I had said no that is what I want is to regain my sense of being a happy community, if you will. I assumed he would at the first session see if I was full of $#%^ since the last T more or less invalidated the idea of multiples. Im not sure I want the memories back I just want peace in SamsLand.

Holy crap I just read the summary page you are right, I can't read this now I think for once I prefer not to know what the therapist is doing I need to take logic and understanding out of the equation

What I did was give the words used by psychotherapists to name the behavior you described. The right words are keys to information.
