Kendra, you struck a chord with me. About being jealous. That's it. That's exactly what it is. I don't know why that didn't occur to me before. I thought it was just the thought of him being reminded of the childhood that was taken away, but it could be jealousy at seeing that family sitting there. Thank you so much for sharing that.

You're welcome Patience. It's good to know that our Host isn't the only one with that issue.

I'm only seventeen, but I want so badly to be a mother. Of course I'll wait until I'm married and in my mid-twenties at least, but I get this longing urge to claim other people's children as my own--something I'm very much in control of, not to worry. :) Small children tend to trigger The Mother, especially if their parents aren't paying attention to them or they're in perilous situations, like playing in the street. The Mother and I will prick our ears and stare and worry until the child is safe. Our focus will completely encapsulate the child. Conversely, little Facade doesn't really like other children, since I was teased a lot as a kid, and they make her anxious.

When I am around kids I feel their energy- like I just want to run and play with them. Toddlers especially. I had a friend once tell me I was only her friend so I could play pretend with her 2 year old. The baby was awesome though. I would get down on the floor and play blocks, dolls, whatever.

I just feel a giant surge of energy when I'm around toddlers. Once they get past 4 I get nervous. It's a protective nervous. I watch them, make sure they are safe. Over the age of 10 and I'm fine- I feel normal.
