So my persecutor can change form?

So yeah, I managed to lock my persecutor away in a room in my head, and he couldn't get out... and he managed to get out by... changing form, similar to a vapour. I've managed to lock him away where he can't get out that way, but I'm concerned as to whether he'll change to a different form to get out.

This is weird, really weird to me.

Anyone else experienced anything like that?

Well, I read somewhere that if you think you need an alter (even if you don't consiously want them), they'll find a way to come back to help, even if it means escaping being locked up. It's like the brain itself, going "Um, no, we kind of need this guy. So we're going to break him out again."

Think about the symbolism in your post. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing, but as you said it's coming out. Maybe it's time, maybe it's not, that's for you to figure out. I don't have any practical advice really, but I mean I've put people in vaults inside of vaults inside of pyramids etc etc, so maybe your persecutor would be willing to be more cooperative if you let them choose where to be? Do they need to be in school to learn good behavior?

Ever considered your Persecutor may not actually change forms but just be let out by others? Try radical self-esteem destruction methods, it usually makes alters alot less active.

But I agree with DL, if my head "needs" this guy, then it allows it to brake free from anywhere...

Thing is, I really don't need him at all. He does NOTHING in my head at all. He can't scare me any more either, the only time he can hurt me, is when I'm already upset. The most he's been doing in my head is abusing little Tommy, and that was without any of us knowing, because Tommy has only just recently shown himself. That's the reason I locked my persecutor away; because he was abusing (what we think is the) core of my system (only reason Tommy goes by Tommy instead of Matt is because he didn't know his name when he first surfaced). And the thing is, I couldn't make friends with him. He IS the guy who abused me. Literally, in every way. I can't make friends with that. I'd rather kill him.

And he needs to learn more than good behaviour. He won't be cooperative, no matter what I do. As I earlier mentioned, he IS my abuser in every way, shape and form (aside from turning into a vapour :S).

Thanks for the comment Rage, I kinda answered what I'd say to you after the first quote

But thanks to all of you, this is a pretty confusing subject for me.

I think I misunderstood your original post and thus saying it seems like it's coming out.

Maybe that's his purpose? To scare Tommy into hiding so he can't come out and be hit by any real abuse?

I understand that, definitely. Hopefully, you'll find a way to get rid of him soon.

It's a possibility, but I'm not suffering any form of abuse any more. I haven't for about 10 years now, aside from petty school bullying. It is completely safe for Tommy to come out now.

What if Tommy just didn't want to come out? What if he's "in bed"? Because you know how you feel about coming out of bed. It's too damn cold
