Alters having distorted sense of reality

Postby Nakimachan14 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 1:42 pm

Hello.

I just finished watching an action movie and after that I got two new alters that see reality as a movie. Basically everything they do, follows the rules of movies - physics and all. And that's when the problems started.

Other one hit my face with my cellphone because she thought that I was a bad guy! It really hurted and it teared my skin a tiny bit. (I didn't know cellphones can be THAT good as a weapon!) It's kinda hard to convince them that their movie-life isn't real life! They don't realize that their actions DO hurt the body! They think that I'm just going to take the punches without problems...

I'm really trying to figure this out. They'll probably calm down on their own or after I listen to them. They both seem really desperate but it doesn't give them the right to hurt me! :x Time to read the rules of the system once again...

Has anyone else faced something like this before? Usually my alters can tell the difference between a fiction and a fact but this is new. :|

Maybe they're trying to make me nuts? Can alters even do that? :?:

These sound like very young alters who have very little experience of the world. Young children cannot tell reality from fantasy. Science fiction and action movies do tend to lead them astray.

Hi Una+

Why didn't I think about that!? Am I starting to loose my ability to listen to my alters? Or then I'm just paranoid and tired... Agh, I can't think straight at this moment. Sorry...I'm just not used to get help from the outsiders (even though I've been here for some time already). It's odd problem.

Thank you! It seems that they're children. :) Vey young and confused ones. They don't let anyone near and that's why they hit me. They don't trust anyone right now.

Pff, all the older alters are nowhere to be found... :? Were they that scared of them?

A little update.

Things went back to normal - finally! :D I now know more about why I was feeling like I was and why everything acted like they were.

One very strong alter helped me through this and said that she was behind my confusion and paranoia - she protected me by covering my eyes. Now we can discuss about past things and this moment! :D I'm so happy!

And since I got my eyes open, I had possibility to communicate with these new young alters. The one who hit me, trusts me now and doesn't try to hurt me anymore. :)

*big sigh of relief*

Glad that you got it sorted (: I also have child alters that don't know the difference between reality and fiction. One of them was reading World War Z (a zombie book) one night when she couldn't sleep, because hubby had left it open on his computer. She ended up waking him up, absolutely terrified, asking when the zombies were coming...

Hi pheonixrise.

Oh dear, poor child! :( It sucks that I don't know much about children and their ability not to see the difference between reality and fiction... ^^; But I seem to have an alter who has more knowledge on this - she's been rather inactive for months but now she woke up. Hehheh!
