not sure why anyone would want to parade the fact they have did.

I want the teddy bear!
I am not ashamed of what I have. Its me and I like me.
Do you write this blog? I need to read that soon!
http://integratingfeelings.blogspot.com/ <---- Possible Trigger
Why would you post in a public forum or public blog if you have issues with people knowing you have DID? Most people have some issue and I think the healthiest do not hide it. As my kids say when I say.. don't you want to have that fixed or removed? They proudly answer back, that it part of them and part of who they are. And they give me a definite NO!

Just because you don't want to 'parade' the fact you have DID, you don't need to write it on other posts where people talk comfortably about having it... Some of us aren't ashamed.

Doesn't really look like DID swag... looks more like the toss-out memorabilia left behind by the AIDS quilt in 1996.

I think awareness is a good thing, for the most part. What's the difference between wearing a shirt for breast cancer awareness, and a shirt for DID awareness? Should you feel ashamed for being a survivor of either? I don't think so. We're all survivors of one thing or another. I would like to be proud of what I have overcome and deal with rather than feel shame for what has happened to me or what I suffer from.
I wouldn't want to wear the underwear though that says, "If I close my eyes, you disappear." That kind of sounds rude haha.
