Postby Feathers » Wed Jun 29, 2011 9:16 pm

I'm an alter but I feel like I wanna make friends seperate from those of my host, people who would just know me as Sophie y'know and think I was just like a normal person? Is this usual of alters to want to do this and is it possible to have my own friendships?

lolyes.

Yes, completely.
We
are people too. Yes we share a body with several others, but that doesn't make us any less of a being with needs wants and desiers.
This is not an inclusive list, but a list of those who are most likely to post
Kyle(17), Tyler(18) Greg(17) Morgan(14) Selena(13) Jason(12)
We are all people.
We will never be one, do not suggest to us we should integrate.
Or that we are objects. Or that we aren't real.

As far as I know my alters, they are different people, so there's no wanting, there's only believing. And their desires and night and day from mine. This I am terrified about trying to make non-multiples believe. Unless they sit and talk to an alter for 15 minutes. If that doesn'y convince them, nutin will.

I want to! I hate living with everyone else. I hate being in a relationship with someone I don't love and don't want to love. Bet I could be a million times better at everything too.

Its Jay. I know how ya feel. I love this girl <3 I talk to her all the time. She loves me too and she knows I'm an alter. But Aneisha is married. I do love John. And I will stay with him as long as he makes Aneisha happy. I am free to love but not free to have..

Definitely, from my experience!

My partner thinks that 'I'm' the alter, and is constantly bothered by me 'taking over her body', so it gets a little hard to deal with sometimes. But, I can't really blame her, because I might seem to be the same way to her... we're both convinced that we're the 'main' personality, and that the other person is just a result of mental issues.

We still haven't really figured out a way to handle it, though... it's one of the reasons I came here looking for advice on how other people deal with it, so I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this topic in case anyone else has advice!
A brief summary of my DID:
My name is Lucy, my 'partner' is Matilda.

We have no memories of what each other experiences, we both have different tastes and interests, and both of us believe ourselves to be the main personality.
We can only communicate with each other by e-mails and writing.

Woah that is a weird one! Well me and Kaz seem to share time equally, like I'm out for a day then she is, over the past week or so. I don't think she minds sharing so much time so we could easily both be the 'host'! Aaron doesn't seem to want to be out much although not surprising, he hated being in a female body so much he tried to get a sex change once!

But yeah I am hoping I can find my own friends! I've made my own email address and a tumblr and a twitter and I feel a little more independant for it! :)
