Not all but most of their music has a lot of thrash and industrial elements, the fact was it was full of aggressiveness was the important thing.

it makes me think of the extent to which we will change ourselves to survive our abusers (take off my face, pull out my tongue, cough up my lungs): change my person, my voice, my body....

And the leave in my heart reminds me of two things: 1) that the people on this forum or so kind, and I have this sentiment that people with DID are very very kindhearted. 2) sometimes I sing live in my heart instead - thinking of all the alters living in my heart; that I will change become something new but keep my old self deep in my heart.

and the hopeful sadness of the music. Very hopeful. Very sad.

Ok i have listened to this a bazillion times on my phone - needs no explanation...but this is the first time I have seen the lyrical video.

Holy crap that person is awesome.

"Under My Skin" and "Schizophrenia" by Jukebox the Ghost give me DID vibes.

I know the second's title is about a different mental illness, but a few lyrics really stand out to me as more DID-like, such as "i got scared and they appeared / they knew my name / they screamed and screamed / they knew everything" as well as the line "yes it is no it isnt yes it is no isnt / i swear to you / thats just how my brain works" - that line reminds me of the denial aspects.

Had no idea why -I'm not ok - MCR reminded me of DID until I listened to it again just now - it is basically the relationship between Sean and Alex in our system. Listened to it and the recognition made me cry.
