Our T isn't that worried about diagnosis. She says the most important thing is our experience. We're working on getting ourselves together. You know, working with what we got.

which one do they mean?

I didn't know about this test. I got 84. I just remembered everything I had forgot in December. I was diagnosed like 11 years ago but promptly forgot about it.

53 which makes sense cuz most of the amnesia is about the past not the present. The three of us who are co conscious are the only ones regularly active now.

brockovich4321 wrote:68 for me today.. Which is a surprise! Will take it again tomorrow.. I had a tendency to pick 3 answers. 2 for rarely, 5 for often, 9 for daily issues.. Don't think that was how I was supposed to do it..

Also the question about staring off into space unaware of time passing; happens to me all the time! Went to pick 10, but 10 = always & if I was always doing that.. Well I wouldn't be here typing or answering a questionaire, would I?!

Blah. Try again later.

Scored 50, although I found I was trapped trying to decide how to answer between what was and what is.

The system's been more integrated lately. It has been difficult for me: instead of trying to control things I've been riding alongside whomever takes control and observing. I don't know how to describe the experience other than my brain feels extremely different depending on whose out, no wonder my alters have different behaviours. I don't even experience external stimuli consistently

Ribcage-- that's exactly how I feel and our scores were similar.

Hi all,

A thread was made recently about diagnostic/screening tools such as this one, so I came back to it. In the past I scored a 45–50 range on it. And then later, a 60. Well, I took it again in the past week and got around 75? However I think this is simply because I'm more aware of it, instead of ignoring it and appearing to be in normal ranges.

As Firedrake says... yikes. d:
DID/OSDD, cPTSD, ADHD
Hosts—18n INFJ (they/them)
Sven—rational, rejects affection ~16m ISTJ
Atrias (TA for short)—BPD teen, co-host ~14m ESFP
Shadow—efficient robot, no age/m ESTJ
and plenty more.

There are 360 degrees—why stick to just one?

Yes, the DES score can go way up, at least for a while. There are two different reasons for this. One is that you are in a temporary crisis and your depression and/or anxiety spike and along with them there is a spike in depersonalization / derealization symptoms. This will pass. The other reason is a dramatic increase in the quantity (and typically also quality) of internal communication.

My highest DES score was double my first DES score, and now my DES score is again in my lifelong "background" range, which is close to normal. I still have DID though; it's just that post fusions my internal communications involve much less "hearing voices" and other phenomena.
