It means that there is some variation in how dissociated you are?

As we become more aware of our dissociative symptoms and our parts, and have better internal communication, the DES score will tend to go up. This is normal, expected, and a sign of progress.

i took it and got a 37. i tried to count percent of total time from an outside perspective (no matter who was out) and was basing it off of the last couple months only, and jess hasnt been out much lately. last time she took it was, like, half a year ago, and she scored somewhere in the 50s or 60s - we dont remember, just that it was, to her, mind-bogglingly high. but she has a lot of other dissociative symptoms than we do - lots of derealization and zoning out and $#%^. so i think it depends a lot on who is taking the test, for sure.

41. I'm surprised, because I thought I would score below 30. Lately I wonder if I've now DDNOS instead of DID, after years of therapy.

Wow! My DES score is way down while my "DID Taxon" part score is way up. This reflects a tremendous amount of progress.

2011.05 47
2011.06 55
2011.07 33 (considering only the previous 2 months)

2012.03 62

2013.05 27

The new low score reflects far less depersonalization and derealization, less dissociative amnesia, no lost time (awesome!), but far more identity alteration and other DID phenomena reflecting co-consciousness.

A year ago I was finding evidence of a lot of dissociative amnesia for recent events. Moreover, the dissociative amnesia put me directly into a threat situation! That was extremely scary because I was so vulnerable. Although I remain hypervigilant, in the past 10 months I have found no new evidence of dissociative amnesia; this is a really good sign.

I got a 36, but I don't think I have DID. though I do have an 'inner-world'. I tend to think of it as my dreamscape as it's where I go during sleep.

I got 70...
But hey listen. The people who says "I think I have DID"... If you have alters, you have either DID or DDNOS-1, right? Or you'r feigning it...
Lana: Don't, Tom, don't even think again that you're feigning it. We're real.
