Just popping in to share that I found a block of 10 weeks of lost time to add to my inventory. Wah!
Among some old papers I found a file from a summer job I worked back in the 1980's, with temporary housing. Even after examining the documents and photos I have no memory of that summer. Not the work, not the place, not the people.
I do remember in the 1990's meeting someone who said we were on a summer job together. I also remember deciding to ignore that I didn't remember and avoiding the person thereafter.
In 10 years post diagnosis, and despite all the work I did to make an inventory of lost time, until I found the file I did not remember that I did not remember. Amnesia for amnesia is a symptom of DID.
