Reaching out with YouTube.

Postby LunaSyko » Sun Feb 06, 2011 1:31 am

Hey,
So, Kendra was browsing Youtube and she found some pretty interesting videos. This woman has DID and she's been posting videos about her life with DID. Because I still consider myself 'New' to all of this, I've learned a lot. Like, I'm confused as to why I have this, because I don't recall anything 'bad' actually happening to me. Turns out, people don't remember until later on. Kind makes me wonder, right?
So, here's the link to her page, and I think everyone should check these out. Once my laptop starts working, Im gonna start posting my own videos about my life.

http://www.youtube.com/user/awesomeastrid This woman is really amazing too I think you'd like her videos. Youtube has helped us figure out what is normal to some might not be normal to others. Earlier today we heard someone explain that they have something they call "co-presence" and we experience this a lot, so it was so helpful to hear someone else has that issue too! Everyone is different and it's nice to hear what other people go through too :).

I just watched a whooooole bunch of her videos (today and yesterday) and I wanted to say that woman is also very inspiring :). I hope more people see this thread and watch some too! I especially liked her self harm video, it made me tear up and actually feel good about myself today. Hopefully more people can feel good about themselves after a little self love and self acceptance like some of these people on youtube have done.

PS: This forum is getting a little quiet lately! Wake up everyone .

In a way, I am not defined by my dissociation. In a way, I am.

DID = An army of one!

Lurking (a past time I partake in far too often) = a form of stalking that no one seems to mind :P
