from what you described, it sounds more like you have DID. but then again, schiz and DID seem so similar in so many ways, it's real hard to tell. And im not a doctor...so i dont mean to sound as if im trying to diagnose you..im just giving you my opinion.

Anyway, the reason i say you sound more DID, than schiz, is because you said you feel like their is more than one of you, and you have had a blackout. Also, if you were raped, i've heard it's common for people to "block out" such traumatic events like that and not remember them. And then such things like DID can develope.

Im also in a similar situation. I just posted something right before i read your post here, wondering nearly the same thing. I've been diagnosed with schizophrenia, but i have symptoms that are a lot like a dissociative disorder, so im real confused too.

Do you have any other symptoms that would suggest you have Schiz, like delusions, paranoia, thought disruption, disorganized speech or behavior, negative symptoms, visual hallucinations, etc?
