According to the guys from Supernatural (my husband got series boxset for Christmas so I'm unwittingly somewhat a paranormal/supernatural buff :/), the sun is not extremely harmful to vampires but is likened to nasty sunburn. This is why they prefer to sleep during the day.

Traditional vampire folklore (and Bram Stoker's Dracula) does not usually hold that sunlight is fatal to vampires though they are nocturnal. It is only with the film Nosferatu that the daylight is first depicted as deadly to vampires.

Is anyone intending to make any new years resolutions for 2011?

How do your neighbors react to you and your alters?

They don't know we have DID.

Who was the first person you came out to with having DID?

I hope no-one minds me answering again.

My husband is the only person who knows and believes I have an alter, although I have told 3 other people.

Did your doctor tell you that you had DID, or did you tell your doctor? What happened?

I told my psychologist in a beat-around-the-bush kind of way, and she said I just had a creative method of handling stress....

what is your favorite fictional depiction of DID? Books/movies/art etc?

I was pretty fond of Secret Window or whatever it's called, with Johnny Depp. I haven't seen it in forever but I did like the dramatic view of him splitting apart with the wall cracking and all. Probably not even an accurate view of DID, but I liked it at the time I saw it.

Question: If you had to choose between heavy rock or hardcore rap music, which would you listen to for the rest of your life?

Have you ever had a dream where you met yourself?

(Both bodies in my house have, although asking around, it seems some people consider it a shocking idea.)

I've had several dreams in which I've met myself. Most of them are pretty hazy and I don't remember them well though.

Did you know you had DID before your diagnosis or was it a shock to you when you were diagnosed?
(I had no idea that I had it until my T told me that she had met an alter)

I had an inkling that I had DID but my diagnosis is what let me make sense of it all. I have known about one of my alters for a long time but didn't know how to "classify" her.

If you had an option tonight while you are sleeping to dream or not dream, which would you choose?

dream gives me good ideas for stories. but no stress-dreams please ><
