Partners....

Postby Countryman89 » Wed Jul 28, 2010 2:22 am

I am the partner of a person living with D.I.D. I am glad she is able to handle it and is coping with it quite well. We have had some rough spots here and there but other than that no real problems. She and her alters have decided to co-exist with each other and it's working quite well. She and I know it is HER body not theirs but she also knows that they are there. I am glad I could help her through her struggle and that I am here for her no matter what. Are there any other Partners of persons living with D.I.D?

Hi, I am the partner of someone with DID. He only just recently came out about it but I've had a suspicion even before they fully came out. I felt there were parts of him making him do things, then I thought I was making excuses for him, then turns out he has DID. Right now one of his alters is trying to make my life very difficult, but his other alter and I get along famously. So I'm experiencing the pros and cons of it. Hopefully this rough patch will resolve itself. Nice to meet you :D

There are 14 of us in our system. Mara's partner comes on here sometimes. Shall get her to post. She's been through lots of madness with us so she may well be useful if you guys need advice :D

Ours is the 7th of Oct and I have to agree with you, even with the ups and downs it has been by far the best relationship I have ever been and will ever be in, we are going to get married next year *hopefully :)*

I am enjoying all the time I spend with all of them, and I recently met a new alter named Ashlie, she is 8 lol she and I were in walmart today and they all play a game where they try to fool me but she was playing with a pink kiddy laptop and spelled her name on it and i was like I C U!! lol they all know the simple signs for the letters "I" "C" "U" its awesome cuz its like our secret language. I am glad I am with my fiance she has made my life so much better.

:D

Haha that's cool about the language thing. I know of a few of her little ones but the main 2 I talk to are so awesome, one calls me mum which is totaly cool as he feels like a son to me. I don't think a lot of people understand DID and some think its a crock of balls but I wouldn't change her for the world.

We celebrated our anniversary, well Mara the "main" or "body" hasn't been around so me and Ker celebrated which its hard Mara not being there as "she's the person I got with' but then I realise I'm with all of them in different ways. Me and Ker are like a couple too. When we first met eachother we'd cause such trouble behind Maras back :-P that was before we knew of the others. But I love them all, even the ones that don't or wouldn't like me, I know they're their own people but everyone I've met so far are so awesome!!

That's cool about marriage, were engaged :-) can't believe its been a year we've been together for already. Been the craziest year ever (not because of her DID). Just everything. No days the same with us. And I love I have the kids that wana draw or play and the adults can go chill and I can babysit in a way lol.

:-) how old are you both if you don't mind me asking?? If you ever need to talk you can always message me :-)

We are 21 and 19. I love drawing with the little ones, it is fun. I have fun talking to the older ones even if they are being smartasses lol it's great fun. Our one year is comin up and we are excited. I am going to spend it with my fiancee because she is the one I got with not the alters. We figured out a way to send two of the smartasses back inside and thats for us to start making out it makes them yell gross lol its fun. I love my partner and I love that no day is the same with her.
