Scared Adult Alter *might trigger?*

I am posting for someone else here because she is afraid to since it's a public forum. I hope I say this right, so she can get some comfort.

Raina is the person here who I am posting for. We don't know much about her and she doesn't know much about her. She was created by another here who is named Karen. Raina was made to go by "Karen 2" since she was made. Karen made Raina so she could have someone to beat the hell out of, degrade, control and basically make her slave. We found them a few nights ago and Karen was torturing Rania. Illiana took Karen down and Becka and I went to gather Raina up off of the floor. Karen is now locked up and Raina is safe. Four of us (Illiana, Delilah, Craig and Cassie) are watching Karen around the clock, and trying to level with her so we can know why the hell she did this and how we might be able to help her. So far, she is not cooperative but we're a patient bunch.

The issue right now, though, is that Raina still feels terrified and she thinks this is bad for some reason. She is also scared of being hurt again yet scared of not being hurt. I think since it is all she's ever known, she doesn't know how to be anything but a slave and a punching bag to someone else. She has no sense of self, because she has never been nurtured and cared for so that she can learn who she is. We are caring for her now.

I am not sure what she wants from this post. I would guess to know if she's not alone, maybe some advice on how to accept she is safe now, or just words of comfort and encouragement. *shrugs* I'm not sure but she asked me to post this for her.

The good to come from the entire situation (aside from the poor girl now being safe) is that Illiana has learned she can have compassion and empathy for someone. She has never given two shits about anyone but herself, until she saw how Raina was being treated. Now she is frequently checking on Raina and trying to feed her and stuff, when she is not on Karen-watch-duty. (Maybe "bitchsitting" would be a good term. ) It's uncomfortable for her to know she's not as cold-hearted as she would like to have believed, but she also seems proud of herself for feeling these things.
