I went to therapy earlier this week for the first time in a year. Turns out my first therapist that diagnosed me with DID never wrote it in my chart, so I don't have an actual diagnosis. Now I can just say that I'm a crazy person who thinks other people live in my head and we play together.
So they force diagnosed me with depression, which I repeatedly told her I don't have. She said she understands that, but she needed to write something down and that's what some other T's I'd seen had written down, so...back where I started 10 years ago. I honestly can't say that I'll be posting much anymore. It feels illegitimate now. I'll still lurk though; I don't have much else to do with my free time.

Oh don't be such a goober! I'm not officially diagnosed. You don't need their goddamn approval. When you're DID, you're DID. That's it, on paper or not.

I know that, Bates, but what makes this even worse is that it's been 3 weeks of nothing. Complete silence. No switching. Nothing. How can I be DID if they won't come back?

Babe, I've met them. I've spoken to them countless times, two of them in person. They might be off for a while on hiatus, but I know for a fact they're real. When they come back I'll find a way to prove it to you.
