Let's Have a Laugh- Stupid Comments about Being Multiple

No comment from anyone but myself for this one:

I was at a clothing store and I found a t-shirt that said "I hear voices!" with a twisted looking Bugs Bunny on it, and I blurted out, "THIS SHIRT IS SO ME!!"

Wow, lol. I probably looked insane to whoever was around me.

TK- Serial Killer, has "killed" 57-59 people.

You need to get some respect. Do you even know what it means to be killed or have someone kill a loved one? Or have a loved one kill someone? You treat this as a joke. DID is no joke. It was created out of unbearable pain. Have more respect.

People with DID are fighting to be respected in society. What you do here is giving a very very distorted impression of DID. It is glamorising DID like it is fun. It is far from fun.
Your signature and reply make doubts come into my mind, make me wonder what 'all this' is all about.

Actually, I do know what it is like. I have personally witnessed an execution and a suicide, one on tape for record, and the other just because. Its a horrible feeling, isn't it? All of a sudden, your heart just drains out, and its hollow, adrenaline flowing so fast you can't move for a few seconds, slowly watching the blood drain out of this thing that was, just a few seconds earlier, either crying or passionate. And now, you feel, just for a second, like your dead. Am I right? You can't even feel your own face, but not because your dissociated, simply because you can't believe you just saw that, and you think to yourself "No one should ever have to see something like that".

Yeah, I have respect. Deep respect for my fellow DID-ites, because I've been everywhere they've been. If anything, you treat my DID as if it were a teatherball. You throw it, and it comes back. Not entertained, you throw it again. And again, and again, until finally, you get bored and move on. I find that incredibly disrespectful, you thinking of me as your playtoy, and I'd kindly ask that you please stop.

So, from what I've read, DID is no longer a joke to you? Thats funny, because you wasted a page here by saying "Why do you feel entitled to have others understand you and your inside world?". Nic tried explaining: its not entitlement, ma'am, its merely therapy. This is a therapeutic forum. We deal in comedy, thats how 2/6ths of us deal with situations like the one you have decided to impose again and again and again, and then again, and then again right now. And if you can't laugh at yourself, you really have no place to judge, despite the fact that your argument, like the one your reading right now, makes about as much sense as anything you've posted here so far, a list so dumbfounding its turning my hair grey.

TK has officially "killed" 69 people. Its a fantasy. He sees people he hates and thinks of how he wants to kill them. Awhile back, Nic started chronicling his fantasies on a blog, now I'm not sure if they still do it. And yet, somehow, I don't know how, but somehow, you have confused actual murder with fantasy. How? Was there something that snapped in your head that made this connection, that somehow if your a 14-year old porn addict, you've suddenly had sex hundreds of times? That if one pretends to play air guitar, they can really play just as well with a real guitar? That if someone were to play with a teatherball 100 times in a row, they, themselves, become hollow and worn out?

But, for the rest of us, having a snarling, growling, howling alter that only communicates in soundbites inaudible to anyone in reality but us is far from fun. We learn to deal with it, something you could take a cue from. We've had 10+ years to learn how to cope. Maybe you should use these forums to cope yourself, instead of pointing out the humor everyone else finds funny as insulting, to that small troop inside your head. You would fit in fine! Make a topic, talk about yourself, hell, mock us all you want there, but don't be the teatherball of the forum, don't keep getting backhanded and swing at us. Understand?

As for the respect part and the impression, we are doing no such thing, and if we have, we have immediately apologized to all parties involved, because unlike you, we can see when were in the wrong, instead of bouncing back on the same thing over and over and over and over and over again like you have. Like a teatherball. I find it a bit scary that this started out with you trying to frame an alter with little to no control for fantasy and somehow look like a hairless ball on a string. You have outdone yourself, Unmothered One, I will not be speaking to you again in the future.

I ask that you personally remove that offensive and objective picture also. Enough is enough. You also need to start using a little more tact and learn to stop ramming your points of view down everyone else's throats and being so uncuth. You border on being completely obnoxious. Sorry you don't agree as I am sure you won't NicS (and others), but the forum is not your personal stomping ground to do with as you please. You act as if you are some sort know it all with endless text to prove your own points of view and shut out anything anybody else has to say. I know, you are all itching to start smashing your keyboard with some sort of defensive come back, just because you need the last word. Practice something new and Don't bother... just loose the attitude and remove the graphic.

UnmotheredChild I totally agree with you that DID is not fun. However, if I could suggest, I do not think the intention was about implying that DID in it's self is amusing. I think at the start as the OP stated, it was to help release some tension, anxiety, confusion and things of that nature. But it certainly was not to imply that DID is some fun little game. Because even in moments of desperation and pain, everyone at one time or another needs to equally smile and feel a little happiness. But I fully respect and understand how you feel about this. (Jay)

Okay guys, please retract your claws. I like this thread, so I don't want to have to lock it. This thread is supposed to be fun, so please leave the arguments out of it. And Mikaela didn't say DID was fun... she was talking about the purpose of this thread.
