trigger warning
Both have been sexually abused.
Both act in strange preventative ways.
Both have had to deal with court.
Both have been hurt.
Both are happy healthy children.
Or so they seem.
I am scared for them.
I want to help them.
But all I can do is teach.
And hope that it will be enough.

Poor munchkins, I don't even know what to suggest you could do for them.

that's sad. the only thing i can think of, is to let them know you care, and can be trusted. there are several teachers that made a big difference in my life, growing up. there wasn't anything they could do except call DCS. and i lied to them. i was too scared. it meant a lot to me, just to know they cared about this, kid, that wasn't even their's.
A WISE MAN ASKS MANY QUESTIONS.
AN OPEN MIND HOLDS MORE KNOWLEDGE. SEEK THE TRUTH, TO FIND YOURSELF.

That's hard, I would have problems with it too.. but like your T's said, all you can do is teach, be there for them, let them know they can come talk to you about anything if they feel like it.. Even though no teacher ever noticed what happened to us, or we were just so closed, we still were fond of most teachers.. We always sent out a "teach me how to live"-message like in the theme song of Donnie Darko, and that's somehow always drawn teachers to us, giving us advice, talking about their subjects.. But we didn't really connect with other kids our own age anyway.
