Hello, my name is Lauren. I'm a year 12 high school student studying English Extension 2 and an aspiring Clinical Child Psychologist. It is the highest level of English, in which you compose a major work. I'm writing a short story (6000-8000 words) focussed around a woman who encounters a 're-activation' of Dissociation, due to a traumatic experience. I have done a lot of research pertaining to my story, also due to my passion for psychology. However, now when it comes to writing my story, I'm finding the research that I have cited, is not match for first hand experience. Whether this be from a Psychologist or somebody with Dissociative Identity Disorder. Any form of informational assistance; format of therapy sessions, treatment, day-to-day life, alters, amnesia or anything relating to DID, would be greatly appreciated.
I plan to use my gained knowledge in this and other areas of psychology, when I begin university next year.
If you have any questions, as to my intentions, information, or any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
