I did try last night , managed to change the Avatar and leave a journal entry but was constantly getting ‘this page is unavailable’ between pages …..same today... pressing 5-10 times before page comes up then hit reply…. back to ‘this page is unavailable again…. taking like half an hour to post something that should take 5 mins!

Tried switching between router and mobile data…even tried with a different browsers with VPNs which loaded the pages until we signed in then same issue so unless its specifically our account that is blocked?

Having to copy our reply incase it goes back to ’this page is unavailable’ agaon after pressing submit so don’t lose it and have to start all over again…it’s really frustrating!

Ellie- do you have the little tick box checked to keep you automatically logged in, when you log into PF?

That helps a lot. If I take too long to make a post (which is often with me), resubmitting does the job. But only if that tick box was checked upon login. You're a lot less likely to see your work lost, as long as you have that check box ticked upon login. Of course, if privacy is an issue, then you'll need to remember to log out after a session.

For other issues with the site, well, we know it's been a rough weekend. You can thank spammers and bad actors for all that, and it comes and goes in waves. They love forums, they really do. It's a never-ending game of whack-a-mole.

yes we check the boxes under the password box..i know it helps if you took a long time and need to resubmit but this issue is the page changing to just just the blue tabs along top (with names of different forums) then the message the site is unavailable…several presses later may get a page back…next page may or may not appear… I didn’t think of spammers it has been the school holidays in most parts of the world I guess?? ..they returned this week here.

Is there an easy way to get our old name back so we can access our last journal and post on it..or do we have to start again as a new account if we wanted to change it back?

Coming up with an ‘at school me’ etc then the most successful ones splitting off as a separate alter and becoming the host for social situations within a specific time frame.

This is so scary, that is exactly how we started out. The oldest 3 worked together as the Changeling, the "real one" (the most autistic one, who mostly came out in our bedroom), and our mask. We've always been obsessed with changelings, stories, and mythology- the Fair Folk/changeling myths brought a lost of comfort to us.

The mask grew up, but the "real one" froze off at 12-13 after bad stuff happened. Then it was the mask, the Changeling, an angel, and one other. IDK, it's all very confusing, but I love stories and mythology so much that I love the mythology of myself too- if that makes sense? I think I read somewhere that people with DID are more prone to imagination and fantasy, which I think makes sense.

Hi

For us ‘the changelings’ are not the original autistic child themself but a kind of guardian/protector that they created during childhood. The first one was Phoenix whose native form was that of a Phoenix bird but they could transform (kinda like Odo from Star Trek) except DS9 wasn’t on TV back in the 70’s so I’m not sure where Bobby originally got that idea from!

We don't have just ‘one social mask’ that aged up with the body throughout life, though there was only one out at once for a specific period.

The front does usually consist of a team of 3 we can communicate with each other as seperate individuals but also choose to temporarily merge if we all want to go out in the body together if its to go out with external people then obviously we don’t talk to each other outloud. we have internal ‘head talk’ kinda like a private messaging system that ‘outsiders’ can’t see.
