Christmas was good if a bit rough

Our energy has been non-existent and while we try to do what we can each day, between needing afternoon naps and our pain being really bad, things arne't going super well.

We're trying to get on medical cannabis for the pain which should help the pain hopefully, though it might make us quite high. We'llneed to work out how best to use it to manage. Hoepfully it also doens't make dissociation worse. at worst, our high alter will be out more.

Bridie was also kissed by a friend on the mouth at christmas and bridie's been in fawn mode since. clinging to people and trying to be as good as possible. It's scary. The friend apologised as she was quite drunk at the time but we still don't feel super safe.

Otherwise, just like palying some video games, reading alt history stuff, and getting anxious about how my american friends will manage under Trump 2 - fascism edition.

Medical cannabis doesn't make you high.
So cannabis has over 100 different canabanoids but we only need to look at 2 thc and cbd
Recreational cannabis has a high ratio of thc to other canabanoids. The higher the thc the stronger the trip. Cannabis that has high thc usually has low cbd.
Cbd is the canabanoids that is the painkiller. If a weed plant has high cbd then it is classed as medicinal. High cbd usually meens low thc. Weed that has no thc is called hemp. Hemp is used in textile making and often but not always has high cbd.

In the UK medicinal cannabis is either hemp or has ultra low thc. Like you'd have to overdose to the point of damaging your kidneys before you got high.

Conversely you can still be prosecuted for possession of weed even if you are taking it for pain because the sort of weed that you get high from you'd need to be almost catatonic before you had inhaled/digested enough to numb pain.

There are health drinks that contain low doses of thc that give you a buzz but the won't get you high in the traditional sence just a more energised and relaxed feeling like if you took a red bull and a horlickss at the same time.
Basically if you are getting high from your weed it won't do anything for your pain and if you are taking genuine medicinal weed for pain and you get high you've gone and done something seriously wrong and should see a doctor because you will have overdosed on cbd and are heading for kidney or liver failure.

In australia you can get products with higher THC as medical products.

The CBD doesn't really help our pain much as it's not an inflamation pain, so the doctor is going to try us on a balanced Vape cartridge as soon as our psychiatrist says yes (usually this wouldn't be an issue but we experience psychosis). I also have friends on medical cannabis who are on high THC doses for depression/ptsd. It's hard. We currently have been using a CBD puffer but it only helps a little bit and we go through it very quickly. so it won't be a long term solution.
