Change of an alters motive?

Postby Panther1830 » Fri Jan 05, 2024 12:59 am

My altar is a bit different lately. She's causing me pain that I can feel but theirs no reason it should be happening but her. It's listed as a panic attack on file. The pain is horrible, and she forced me to go to voluntarily go into the mental hospital . Stayed ten days. But she's never taken full control of me while I'm aware till then. She was looking everywhere in the hospital for my shoes, ( to go home). It was weird.

The hospital stay was to get back on zyprexa cause my alter was refusing meds. My question is if you're alters have asked. To go to the hospital before? And, if they use their way to get their. To me the original person, I'm dumb founded.

Alters are not separate from you. They can experience things in your place and ask things when you are unable to ask.

As an example, one of your alter can experience a panic attack in your place because you are dissotiated from your own panic attacks. So you can have the impression that your alter is causing you pain while in reality, your alter is trying to show you that you as a whole person is in pain - even if you as one alter among many do not feel it.

I learnt to listen to my alters whenever something is weird in my life. I listen. Most of the time things are "not right" because me as a whole is feeling a pain that is contained inside only one alter. So I need to take care of this alter in order for the pain to go away. Example: often my child alter cries the tears that I am unable to cry as an adult. When I comfort the child alter, I feel comforted too and I feel better too. Because we are connected. His tears are my tears.
