Could this be what integration is about?

I couldn't understand how exactly two alters can integrate if so many things about those two alters is contradicting; as wouldn't it result in conflicts if they integrate. I concluded that two non-integrated alters are parts of mind that are considered foreign to one another thus dissociative, so integration would merely be that parts becomes associative thus no longer be foreign to one another.

However, that still couldn't answer the question how it wouldn't be conflicting, before I understood that every part of mind, dissociative or associative, doesn't have to be relevant all the time. The difference is how many autonomy are there, thus does two autonomy can seek to be relevant in the same time, or there is single autonomy telling which part of mind should be relevant now.

If that's so, then how would integration of two autonomy happen: autonomy A seeks to manage part of mind that autonomy A owns and also part of mind that autonomy B owns, where autonomy B seeks that autonomy A manages part of mind that autonomy B owns. In that case, core would be autonomy seeking to manage all parts of mind and all other autonomy seeks that management.
