Do you have Alters that are more dominant than others. I'm not sure if dominant is the right word to use but never mind.
For me it seems like my littles are way more dominant. This is because no matter what we are doing they seem to be ever present. I can't see that this is a problem for me but it's just something that I noticed today.
Also my littles are better at communication than the bigs as well.

We definitely have some sort of hierarchy/ranking in our system, so I know what you mean! For us, the protectors and gatekeepers are the most respected and/or hold the most power over the other members of our system
They're not necessarily always present, but they do take their roles seriously and other members seem to back down around them (especially if they're in the wrong)

Hi
Depends what you mean by 'dominant '... ones that are out more than others? ....or dominant in the sense that they are an alter that others see as a higher rank if they can take over the front (at will even if they don't do it frequently.) or such as a Gatekeeper who decides who is allowed to front?
We have some that if they are going to come out they prefer to switch rather than blend so they have control over the body..in that sense they have much stronger more dominant personality and if others want to share time out with them they know they have to be the one's willing to compromise.

Some of my parts are more active than others. Some of my parts are better able to take the final decision than others. But personally I would not call this a hierarchy or a ranking. IMO for me it's more of a "where every ability or ressource is filed and who can access it and use it".
Though with integration, the "exclusive" ressources are few and far between and my switches are more and more between different preferences of functionning rather than big differences of what I can do and what I think and what I feel. Which may be why I do not have any sort of hierarchy of functionning at the moment. I'm too integrated for that.
