A long time away, and an update

Postby Zor » Tue Dec 27, 2022 7:06 pm

Well we have not been on here in a long, long time... it's been quite difficult and we've made great progress in connecting and getting more closely united.

We've had a lot of struggles with the wife being hostile, other friends cutting us off/out entirely... and many not wanting to have even online connections with us... Zor posted about the DID on social media openly and lost 100 of 300 "friends" on Facebook, for example.

BUT over all, it's been a net positive for us this year. We have had stickers made of our heart icon/logo thing Angel made for us. We also had some of the "System Pride" flag things made as stickers. We've found time to be out more, us girls specifically, in our skirts and stuff- in safe places. THAT has been huge.

One week this summer the wife was away and all day while the kids were at school we had time alone and the ability to BE out without hostility, hatefulness, and/or judgment... we had NO nightmares that week (9 days) and no cuts appearing... The ability to have time to BE us and feel safe and secure in our own home was amazing... and if things get worse on that front, it's nice to know we know we can not just survive being free to be us more easily, we'll thrive in many ways...

All in all, it's been rough but good... we've had many great things, many very hard things... but we're making it... and we're learning a lot about ourselves, growing closer together as a system, and have gained a lot of "things" (clothes, toys, plushies, games, etc) that are more representative and inclusive of our whole system-self.

I consider this a big BIG step forward for us...

Our system made the most progress in terms of others coming out and learning about each etc when we were left housebound and living alone some years back. And many of the insiders loved the lockdowns and having an even more legit reason to not have to socialise or have people in the house they didn't really want to be with!

Everyone should be able to feel safe to be themselves in their own home without having to go to such extremes to isolate themselves to get chance to be themselves!

Hello,

I am sorry to hear that your family and friends don't really understand. It would be so nice if people were understanding and accepting. Of our family, only our sister knows about us, but since she already knew someone who is a system, she's been understanding.

I have to admit to never having heard of a 'system pride' flag, but given the other Pride Flags around the room, that isn't entirely surprising.

It is wonderful to see that you have at least made progress and found some space to be yourselves. With changes in our household, we're getting to do that more overtly.

Hope things get better for the future,
Angel (Theta)

It's nice ot have some news, Zor!

I am happy for all the positivity that you gained and all the connexion. It is very important to feel safe and accepted, it really does help the recovery and I am happy to know that you were all able to experience this for some time.

I am sorry for the loss of connexion with people in your life due to their prejudice.

I hope that one day your wife will be more understanding.

If we're talking informative links and no content that's disallowed here (stuff that's not relatively family-friendly) and not personally identifying... or to another forum... yeah sure. :)

KITTEN!!!

It is sooooo good to hear from you. How is zor and angel? Do you guys still go to synagogue and church?

Peter is so happy to hear from you he has missed your littles (do you still have pinky pie? )

We have all been rather worried at the amount of systems that disappeared during covid it's so good to know you guys are alive and fantastic to hear that you all are getting more freedom.... Skirts wow I remember when having a pink stripe on your socks was a fight for you guys so to have your own outfits that is major! Give zor a big hug from us he has been so brave to just accept you guys and fight for your rights to be loved / accepted collectively.

Hi hi! Pixie here!

So like we've missed ppl here, too... but life has been like crazy and tough and we honestly have no idea where things are headed this year- not "new", but still difficult.

Anyhow, Chloe still does the "age sliding" thing and "little Chloe" is out often at night, sometimes at times watching her FAV show ever (My Little Pony). Not only do we still have Pinkie Pie, but we ALSO have two NEW stuffies... slightly smaller but totally equally adorable Twlight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash! :D
Our pony plushies

So clothes are STILL a fight... _she_ (the host's wife) HATES us and that we exist and that we've got these things.
But he's been amazing at working to let us get stuff and we've got MORE than our desk drawer can hold of clothes for us girls now!!! I mean like literally the DEEP file folder drawer is MORE THAN FULL and we've got stuff stuffed in several places... Zor even got us girls makeup for Christmas.

OH and just around Christmas we went to this like super cool anime fandom store in town and _I_ was out in a skirt (and leggings cuz it was like 30 degrees out (just below 0C) that night) IN PUBLIC. The anime store is owned by a brother-sister who own a pharmacy and the sis is a post-transition transgirl. She and her wife are soooooo sweet and we LOVE THEM. They are wonderful people.

Oh and our heart icon dealie Angel made we have stickers of now and several friends have them- and that anime place even put a few of our heart icon sticker dealies on their monitor at the checkouts of their stores! Super cool ppl.

Anyhow, gonna go, we'll reply later. Loves & stuff!!
