Well we have not been on here in a long, long time... it's been quite difficult and we've made great progress in connecting and getting more closely united.
We've had a lot of struggles with the wife being hostile, other friends cutting us off/out entirely... and many not wanting to have even online connections with us... Zor posted about the DID on social media openly and lost 100 of 300 "friends" on Facebook, for example.
BUT over all, it's been a net positive for us this year. We have had stickers made of our heart icon/logo thing Angel made for us. We also had some of the "System Pride" flag things made as stickers. We've found time to be out more, us girls specifically, in our skirts and stuff- in safe places. THAT has been huge.
One week this summer the wife was away and all day while the kids were at school we had time alone and the ability to BE out without hostility, hatefulness, and/or judgment... we had NO nightmares that week (9 days) and no cuts appearing... The ability to have time to BE us and feel safe and secure in our own home was amazing... and if things get worse on that front, it's nice to know we know we can not just survive being free to be us more easily, we'll thrive in many ways...
All in all, it's been rough but good... we've had many great things, many very hard things... but we're making it... and we're learning a lot about ourselves, growing closer together as a system, and have gained a lot of "things" (clothes, toys, plushies, games, etc) that are more representative and inclusive of our whole system-self.
I consider this a big BIG step forward for us...
