Our body is 31, as am I, the host.

Then most of the others in our head are between the ages of 28-18, and then we have one ageless/age slider, who goes from being little to an adult with no specific age, one who is in his 40s, and we have a little as well.

For me, age has always been a number, and most of us don't even think about our number, honestly. The closest to me in age is one of our protectors, but even so.. I don't know if their ages relate to anything. Like, the older they are in the system means that they are older in age (because the oldest alter I have, who has been here the longest, is the one in his 40s.) or if it has something to do with the 'age is just a number' thing to us.. or even if it has to do with the fact that I do not feel 31, and so most of them choose to take a younger age.

I've always wondered, but I don't think it's uncommon at all.

Hi Narie

I am Host Jay..our body is in its 50's. I think our first full time host from late teens to 20's was the age of the body but everyone else has kind of stayed under 30 so once we got over that no one has really been the age of the body.

We have agesliders too and they will temporarily behave how they think someone in their 50's should when in public but when they return inside they return to their preferred age. When I first re-emerged I had last been out in the bodies 20's so it was a bit of shock to find life so different and a pandemic going on!

We have a spirit alter who believes she reached 47 in a past life and carries those memories so her acting as an older past self I guess is the closest, but I think these days everyone seems to 'behave younger' ...adults playing video games and fighting on the streets in town when they've been out etc so it doesn't seem to matter so much to younger generations. Ours do carry older values though than todays 'kids'...showing respect to elders etc despite being emotionally younger too (due to autism & developmental delays).

Hi Narnie-

Our youngest is 3. All together we have 23 and none of us really match the body's age. Our youngest are 2, 5, and two of them are 10. We have two teenagers (13 & 16), nine of us in our 20's, one in her 30's, two in their early 40's, one (our main maladaptive protector) is in his 60's, and three Ageless. Our body is in it's late 40's.

It makes interactions with our friends quite interesting at times.

Take care,
Vi

Age sliding is interesting to me. I have one.. who is just an enigma all in their own. They are an age slider, genderfluid and gender neutral all at the same time. So it is interesting to me to sometimes find them in forms of female, male, non-binary, little, adult, teenager, etc. Sometimes when I think about them during the day they are one way, and another when I encounter them later on. Like I said, and a lot of us think so as well, age is but a number.. so honestly, if you do not feel your body's age, I do not blame you. :) I do not feel mine either.

Hi Vi!

Yes, I agree! It makes interacting with people interesting. haha. A lot of times I have all this energy, and wish to go out and drink and party with people who are far too young to hang out with me, but that is our younger alters influences. haha. So some people do not always know how to take it right away, considering I am meant to be at the age now where I "settle down and have kids" according to society and social standards, but some days, we just do not wish for that, considering some of us are too young to even have children.
