Thank you, and you're right. A lot of this is just having the quiet so that the others can come forward without worrying about having to mask or get caught. It's been helpful especially when we aren't around others, and meant that the others sometimes get to do things they want to more often than when our dad is home. We've also found that the less we have to go out the more the others are willing to come out and be part of the world.

We don't know when our dad will be coming home or how much external help he will be getting. He's still struggling with standing up and walking. Our sister is trying to get everyone involved to understand that the child who lives at home is autistic and disabled, but it's hard to know if they understand that.

Thank you again,
Violette

Thank you. I'm sorry I didn't say that earlier.

This is Violette. Things were a bit fraught the last few days. This past Wednesday, we had two missionaries show up at our door. Now, I could feel Lilith panicking, so I slammed and locked the door. One of the men had brown hair, so that may have also been a trigger. As they left, one of them laughed. That set off Lilith into full panic and caused Valyria to front and yell at them. Valyria can be a bit unhinged and protective.

This event sent us onto a bit of a negative trajectory, and after an argument with one of our newer alters, Angela, things settled down. We've had to realize just how much religious trauma we have, and are starting to work on that a little at a time.

Thank you all,
Violette

I'm sorry that happened. That's very rude of them actually. I totally get why you and the others would be upset.

Good thing your new alter managed to calm you all down though. It's nice to have a voice of reason and source of calm around.

Are you still by yourself in the house? Have you managed to get a bit of peace?

Take care,

Thank you both. We installed a 'No Soliciting' sign on the door today. We might get one to go on the porch railing as well so that people see it before they get all the way to the door.

Take care,

They're a pain...I had some Jehovah's Witness people coming to my door for years and soon as they see the wheelchair they feel the need to tell me that jesus is coming to cure me!!!....wish he'd hurry up been waiting years!!!

Eventually I told two very nice ladies (I'd seen them when out with my dog too so knew them by sight) that my beliefs are just as strong though different to theirs and I would still have not changed my mind by the next time they came ,then told them how difficult it was for me to get to the door when I'd been laid on the bed in pain only to find it was the same perople telling me Jesus was coming to cure me and I'd in fact been a wheelchair user since my 30's!

They haven't been since! Anyway I hope things are better for you now

Thank you. We're a bit better. Therapy on Monday helped a lot- and it was all for me. Being the host of a system is not easy and it was wearing me down. Pippa came out yesterday. We also had a new alter show up, but she's kind of an old alter as well. It's like, yeah, she's been sort of amorphous until yesterday. Her name is Alice and she's very much a protector. She's just a bit scary in a cold and logical way.

We got the sign up, and we're going to get another to put at the top of the porch stairs.

Our sister got us a weighted snuggy and a weighted blanket. Both are wonderful and helpful for us :)

Take care and thank you,
Violette

So...to catch things up. We definitely had an issue happen with Marcus where he faded/broke up. There's still a lot of negative stuff associated with him and he's absolutely not fully gone, but it's like parts of him broke off and now what's left is faded and a bit weird. Violette's the only one now who can access the asylum to check on him. He's not fully gone and it's possible that he's still there just different.

We've had a few new alters appear recently too. All of them are introject/fictives, but we're pretty sure that we all started out that way because we didn't have a great childhood and delved into fantasies and stories in order to hide. Thing is, the characters we latch onto often aren't the strong ones, but the ones who are damaged or hurt. Still, we have a system that comes to 30. We're pretty sure there's more, but they haven't shown up yet.

So far, it's not too bad. Our dad is recovering and should be home before the 21st. We're not happy about that, but we'll adjust and cope.

Ok. Everyone take care,
Pippa.

I hope it will be easier for you if Marcus can have less impact on your system going forwards.

Will your dad have carers coming in once he returns? Hope they're not expecting you to manage everything and you can get more support.
