Mod changes in the DID forum

Postby lilyfairy » Mon Aug 30, 2021 4:48 am

Hello all

We'd like to let you know that Johnny-Jack has chosen to step down as the named Mod for this forum. We would like to extend a big Thank You to them for their time and energy here and we wish them the very best!

While we are aware that this forum does not need heavy moderation, in the absence of a named forum Mod, for now we feel it best to put ourselves in that place so our members can be assured that each one of the Admins are available for any concerns or questions that may arise.

If there's anything we can help you with, please feel free to send any or all of the three of us a message. Remember that if there's ever an issue with a post, you can use the report button (it's an exclamation mark in an upside down triangle (!) at the top of a post). A report is only visible to the mod team, and the person who made the post is not alerted to your report. No-one but you and the mod team will know you've reported it.

You'll likely see us around the forum a little more often. :)

DID is our most active forum- we did feel as if you all needed to know that we have your back.

Ditto a disturbing private message- as the forum rules say, private messages are just that- private! However, if you get a PM that is against forum rules or otherwise troubling or threatening, by reporting it you allow the mod team to be able to review it and do whatever we think needs to be done- or at the very least we'll be aware there's something to keep an eye on.

Having worked with them for about two years as moderator, I can confirm that we are in the best of hands with Snaga, NewSunRising, and lilyfairy. Their thoughtful dedication to others, mostly unseen, continues to impress me. It's the reason they are red moderators.

Well, can't speak for myself personally but Lily and NSR are top-notch. We're going to miss having you on the mod team, JJ! Glad it's merely a retirement and not a farewell and looking forward to seeing you in forum!

Snaga underestimates himself . :D

You will probably not see me commenting here very much but each one of us is available via PM for any questions or issues anyone may have . Please be assured that we will do all we can to keep this forum a safe place for everyone .

Because we are volunteers and we all have life stuff and different times when we are on the forums , I suggest that members PM all three of us together for anything they feel is urgent . There is a much better chance of a quick response that way .
