well if you ask me all of that is BS and I don't need more weirdness in our beliefs.
she only sticks to the existence of that because it is in the red text
most of the system is ready to just do without an unseen world for our daily life.
for the Littles the angels they saw were pretty much Seen world.
currently reading a book on ritual abuse and in my opinion people are told hogwash about demons to control them. We are not in for that.

I completely understand this, hence why I held on "infodumping" to avoid triggering any of you.

I agree with you regarding the SRA and how some old, cultural beliefs are twisted in order to hurt others and manipulate them. Some people react by cutting all ties with that in order to protect themselves, and it is a perfectly legitimate way of reacting.

((Even though our knowledge-thirsty mecanism is to dig deep into it untill the whole "technology tree" leading to the present state of it, is unraveled, turning it into a not-so-scary thing, a mere tool in the hand of an abuser.))

I am not going to force our own way of dealing with it, upon any of you. I also share your feelings regarding how cruel and abusive it is, to manipulate and coerce others by turning their own beliefs against them.

I wanna add that I got a different way of dealing with the "unseen" but it is a bit similar to you I guess? I mean, what is unseen / unreachable / unhearable etc. well, why would I care about it? It cannot reach me nor impact me, since I cannot see/touch/hear etc. it. So, why would I care?

I still find interesting to study the thought patterns and ideas that people have about it but I see it as different from directly caring about the unseen.

I still understand how talking about the ideas about a thing, can be as triggering as talking about the thing.

Tons of moral support! A bad and cruel and manipulative idea is a bad and cruel and manipulative one, no matter what it is about!

I was thinking about the general topic of rules I was taught. some of it tradition, some of it theology.
We have a LOT of friends who would be target of judgement by the church. the bible says we are not here to judge, not our job.
So I am going with this more buddhist approach: add no suffering.
plain as that. I think it is what Jesus did. especially when it is about the less privileged. the witches the church hunts have just changed but they are still hunting. and I loathe it.
So, any traditions that only produce suffering will get ignored in my personal life.
the foundations are harmless. symbolic acts like taking communion? *shrug*

that’s really how we go about it. we weren’t raised with any particular religion, but are planning on converting to judaism later in life because it has a similar meaning for us and we like how they go about things there. we don’t like to judge, it’s not our place or our job. we’re just here to live our lives.
