How does your life look very successful from the outside?

Dunno if this counts but we hate being praised for talents. Eg. We are constantly pressured to join the church band but we'd rather sing from the back because our vocal range is dependent on alter fronting.

While on holiday a kid was being pulled out to sea. Our caretaker and expersicutor together did a hard switch and had swam out to the kid and was on their way back to shore before the rest of us realised that anything had happened. Ex host is freeking out because she is the type to freeze in the face of danger, I'm loosing my $#%^ because we are fully dressed and I can't remember if my phone is in my pocket, one of our littles doesn't know how to swim so the other is trying to distract her from what's happening up front.
The number of people that come up to us to say how brave we are and how they are sure when the time comes their adrenaline Would kick in and they would do the same.... We just grit our teath say nothing while oscillating between nearly contained rage wanting to smash their heads in and say "coward this was the time a kid was drowning" and shaking so badly because we colectivly just need to cry in 7 different directions and please piss off now while we still have our dignity.
