Mental Health "Doxxing"

So someone (we don't know who) set up a fake FB account, using our host's first and last name, and went messaging a bunch of people (we don't know how many, but have heard back from 5-6 about it), saying we "claim to have" DID... and going on a tirade how it's made up, fake, and doesn't exist- as in DID itself is fake and doesn't exist.

Crazy scary yo! For real when we found out, I felt like I'd been walking all day in a miniskirt just to find out some perve had cameras in the sidewalk under me and was sharing the pics. Super violating feeling to have ppl like outing our mental health and mocking and accusing us of faking it and all. For real yo, like cray cray scary $#%^!

Anyone have any idea what we could do? I mean other than like report it and hope to get them blocked and it stops?!

That's super scary and all that stuff about DID is totally factually wrong. **edited** That's not psychology. Do you know anybody who says stuff like that? Hope things get better soon.

not sure where you are active but the grey faction has been harrassing people with DID more directly lately. Those are organized abusers spreading misinformation and trying to discredit Ts and advocats. If you are worried, you can educate people

So it's been reported, locally, to FB, and cybercrimes authorities. The account it was sent from is gone on FB already- banned I'm guessing.

Doxxing: search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the internet, typically with malicious intent.

Wth.. Have you any idea who this could be? I don't understand why someone would take as some kind of a personal attack you being DID system, at least if he/she isn't the abuser or something. Because that sounds like someone takes it somehow personal.

I would be super anxious about this kind of thing, hopefully everything turns out ok.

Just a thought ... Could it have been your wife... It's certainly something my ex has done .... We can't go back to our hometown because he has convinced them that my did is actually something more sinister and alcohol filled. (Which is double hauling for us because we are teatotal, always have been.)
