Hello all...
A lot of changes have happened to me lately (Falling in love, whatever) and its been quite difficult on us as a system. Its too hard to talk about but I'm sure you all know how it is. I'm talking about the struggle between personalities, the protectors doing their best to protect and the persecutors doing their bit to just not let it happen. Its actually the little who has proved to be really tough through all of this and as a system we have allowed this "love" to happen but we are all still playing our parts and she won't get hurt.
Anyway through all of this I have came to the realisation that this dissociation disorder is in fact a coping mechanism. I know that you all know this already but I was a big deal for me to understand that it is not necessarily a mental illness.
Just had to share this anyway.
Hope you are all well.

Big step forwards!
Now I hope you'll find a balance between your different parts of you so you can be more at peace!

DID is tough, especially in the context of relationships. I'm glad you've reached a better understanding about your system's purpose, and I hope it brings you greater peace/self-acceptance.
