"alien" alters. Made up language.

Postby robotfun » Sun Jan 03, 2021 7:46 pm

I have an alter that would be considered an alien. Like from another planet alien. Its all quite bizarre.

Doesn't seem to speak an earth or English language. He seems to want to help everyone, so it would be beneficial if he could communicate to help us. He looks funny and talks funny.(Bobby 9) Most don't know what he is saying. It must be an imaginative alter that was formed as a kid, that made up a fake language. We are trying to integrate him without scaring everyone.

I don't really know what I am asking about. Maybe, do any of you have an alter so foreign and different from everyone else that its hard to even know where to begin communicating? Do any of you have an alter that doesn't speak a real language?

Two in our system have been co-con practically forever. Internally as best friends, practically "twin sisters", is how the subconscious reconciled it (since none of us _knew_ we were a system or that the rest of us weren't just as real as any other person they interacted with is).

Those two, Pixie & Kitten, have always had their own "twinspeak" language, a babbling sounding thing to the rest of us, but b/c of their co-conscious relationship, they always just knew what the other said, felt, or thought. That's about the closest we get to "another/unknown language" in our system.

We have some who when they speak out-loud, don't speak English. Although mostly we have some way of understanding them.

One is a young wolf. She just howls, and sometimes makes other wolf sounds. Her parents however, do know English, and can speak it. So they could translate to us, probably.

One of our people is mute, but can still communicate (by somehow making the words appear in the air so we can read them). He also has a really strong "mental" connection to his brother, it seems (so his brother usually speaks for him).

Another one can write in English (if he chooses), but talks in their own language. He does prefer to speak his own language a lot more than writing though. It is hard sometimes to know exactly what he's trying to say. He is learning to speak some words though.

I'm curious if he understands your language. You could ask him to nod (maybe) if he does understand you. If he does, maybe you could ask him if he is able to write? I don't know, but maybe if he understands you, maybe there would be some way you could communicate.

Just curious, how do you know he wants to help? Maybe however you figured that out, might be able to help with communication too.

We've got one we refer to as an alien or a demon. She's neither, really, but it's easier to describe that way. She doesn't speak out loud at all, but writes in a made up language we created when we were thirteen. We still use it sometimes and it is interspersed through our journals.
Her role is "secret keeper" so she can only write in code because we need to keep secrets even from ourself.

Nameless One speaks gibberish but we sort of understand. Think maybe he's spoke in English once or twice we didn't think he could. Even then think it was just a word or two. Always assumed he was Human but now got us kinda wondering he's really strange.
