hello, i have been diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder over 4 years ago and am very aware about my alters (all over 300 of them!) i have gone through a type of ritual abuse and since then have become very polyfragmented.
i have started noticing that a new alter has been experiencing signs of (re?)programming that used to be present in alters who went through and split during the ritual abuse
so i have a question here,
is it possible for new alters to split a while long after a ritual abuse is over that hold the old programming as a new alter, or could this possibly be an older alter coming back up from the past that we didnt know about?

is there any possibility you are still being accessed by handlers? That kind of re-programming is often done in person by someone connected to the abuser group. That is far from rare in organized abuse.
In some systems there are alters whose job it is to re-programm whenever programming was removed. They are usually very hidden, so you might not be aware.
new parts with old programming seem unlikely to me. This is not how it works unless you are still being accessed and this is actually new programming.

after reading your other post about your confusion about your partner I would say that the chances are really really high that they are responsible for your re-programming. get the hell out of that relationship.

get some help. he probably won't just let you walk out.
especially not if he is a handler sent by the abuser group.

Good luck.
We were married off to a handler from our abuse ring to ensure we never talked. Word of advice don't engage during divorce proceedings ( if there are any) it will be major triggering and they can reprogramme by letter all it takes is for the right ( or wrong depending on pov) alter to read a seamingly inocuous phrase and you are back to square 1. If you can't afford a lawyer....stonewall. grey rock what ever you want to call it disappear and no coms. None at all. Better to loose all your belongings and connections and start afresh. You don't know who you can trust where you are.

That is awesome news! Just take care of you, and stay safe. Sometimes we simply must look out for ourselves.

good job. take good care. being away and staying away is a daily team effort, getting some distance is only the first step.
come here any time anyone of you struggles with thoughts of wanting to go back. be prepared for it to happen, that is normal.
hope you can all double and triple check that you are really in a healthy place now and nobody is missing anything about abusive behavior toward you.
