We want to make long term friends who also have DID ♡ (NA)

Postby Yerichu » Tue Nov 03, 2020 5:27 pm

We were diagnosed this year but have known for awhile. There is 12 parts that we know of. Ages 3-24. We often feel alone and isolated with this disorder. That is why as the host, ive pushed us to reach out despite being shy and awkward. We are very supportive and caring located in the US central.

Hello, and welcome to the forums!

I think you'll find a lot of folks here to speak with- DID is by far, our busiest forum, these days. There's members here from all over, including plenty from North America, such as myself (I believe myself to be part of an OSDD-1b system perhaps).

From the tone and style of your post, forgive me wearing my moderator hat a moment, to advise you that while we can't (nor do we wish to) police what members communicate via private message (PM), that as far as open forums go we do have a strict anonymity policy- since we're a forum (as opposed to live chat) you'll find that it's less important where folks are located- since English is the mandated language for PF, you'll find most of us either are fluent in it as a second language, or are here from the Anglosphere- the US/Canada, UK/Ireland, and Australia/NZ. I just wanted to clear that up, in case you were under the impression that PF is a vehicle for more direct correspondence using personally identifiable information.

Pretty soon, after being here a short while, you'll gain the ability to respond to private messages, which many members use to hold private conversations.

I hope that your system will soon feel less shy- there's no reason to be shy or reticent, here, sweetie- you're among friends and the folks that frequent DID are a pretty good bunch. We're happy to have you and look forward to learning more about your system. Hugs, if wanted.
