We don't like celebrate them outside at all- just the body's birthday (also Zor's). I think it'd confuse ppl and since most ppl around us aren't like too open and ok with it, it'd just be a pain too.

we would LOVE TO DO THAT. But like Zor's wife is all kinda hostile and other times just "cold" to the idea of us, still after like 2 years of knowing about us...
And other ppl would be confused and freak cuz they don't get it or don't wanna accept it.
Some day we HOPE to be able to do little birthday things for each of us, outside, too. :)

Today is Melissa's chosen 'birth' day. Right now I am taking care of some business and financial responsibilities but when that is complete we will try to let her enjoy herself.
We have purchased a small cake for her and she will likely want to watch her Disney cartoons.

It is unfortunate that your wife's hostility interferes with looking after your system's needs. If possible, we would suggest doing something small for yourselves regardless and either don't invite her, or let her know but make it clear her attendance is not required.

Or simply do your celebration without explaining why. "Today we are eating cake and watching cartoons. You do not need to know the reason."

I thought I'd join in this birthday thread because I was told I like Zors system and Pixie. It'll be nice get to know you a bit here but I can't take everything in at once so I thought I'd share my only experience of our last birthday.

They did a birthday week. All I saw of it was about 15 mins in the pub. I love that pub but the now ex bf was there so I didn't stay long personally.

I feel ok about not seeing much of the week long birthday. I seem to be in a very long enforced doing nothing period because of this covid so I can just watch TV, chill out so that makes up for it.

How the others made ours a birthday week and all did something is a great idea. Definitely something to do again. With different likes and interests a birthday is the perfect excuse to indulge in some likes and interests that are otherwise ignored. What would I have liked to do they're asking. Ummmm. Lol if I had my choice it'd be a holiday with scuba diving or Safari or something like that but that's too much money and how they did it, spending not that much and getting everyone something they liked was really clever. I'd recommend it, it's proper self love and care and aknowledgement of different parts. I usually say "different parts of self" but I don't know if people her like that idea that all parts are part of self one way or another.

Any ways Happy Birthdays to everyone on the Birthday thread.

Much Luck,

Sarah
Monte Carlo or Bust
Rose and Patrick
Batcho and Fortune (twins), Paul and Lilly,
No-one and Peter, Beth and Karen, Mandy and Mouse plus a seperate system of fragments including: rabit and others.

The official birthday is not too far off so hope family don't let us down as they've said they'd get us a new turntable (record player) to play the old vinyl records we found a few days back.

The adult alters from that era are looking forwards to a trip down memory lane and the child alters are fascinated by the fact its one that lights up different colours and it feeds into the sensory fascination caused by the autism of things like colour changing bubble tubes/xmas trees/lamps, kaleidoscopes etc.

Won some watercolour pencils off ebay in an auction for over £20 cheaper than they are elsewhere so waiting for them to turn up and a game that Bobby remembers from super nintendo years ago (a 3D remastered version has come out of it on switch and they got triggered after we saw a video clip of it alongside the original). Daisy is also quite fascinated with this one too as it has a 'little girl character' in it who she seems to identify with and wants to play as so we're trying to win a copy of that off ebay too.

Looks like we're still going to be in lockdown for the actual day so they might get chance to come out and play for the whole day for once.
