Meeting alters in dreams.. a way for better communication?

Postby Henrik » Mon Mar 02, 2020 11:28 am

Hello again,

I'm back with another thought, that may or may not, be interesting to some other people too.

Background story:
After getting informed by my wife and friends, that I am very often switching while sleeping, and living a seperate night life, I wondered..
Is it possible to meet your alters in your dreams :?:

If yes, it could be really helpful for all the people, who struggle to communicate with their parts.
Because the rational thinking of the host can be a wall, that makes communication quite hard.
But during dreams, the creative part of the brain is more active, so it could be a way to get behind the "rational wall".

Does anyone know something about it, or have tried/experienced it :?:

Greetings,
Henrik

It is rare but it has happened for us.

Not necessarily for the purpose of communication, and it hasn't happened through intent, but we have had perhaps a half dozen instances in the last two years, where we have had multiple alters sharing a dream.

I'm aware only two occasions where everyone was present, usually it is only two or three who've had shared dreams.

For the most part, these experiences have been very positive and helpful for us.

What is much more common in our system is the current front-person remembers other alters' dreams. Our previous host (who did not know about being multiple) was frequently confused that most of her dreams didn't actually include her, and were about things she had no knowledge or experience with.

I wonder if this could be what I'm experiencing. "I" (the body) have been in my dreams maybe twice ever, but I've had many dreams where it's a complete stranger I somehow know is me, even though I don't think they are.

If I may ask, did it really feel like people talking and reacting to each other in everyday-situations?
Or was it kind of vague?

Now that you mention it.. it seems very familiar :o
Exactly as it is the case with lovethehouse, it makes me think about some dreams again.

I don't think I've met any in a dream. I had a dream years and years ago where I was watching a group of people sitting around a fire in a circle talking. I was watching from above and then in a swoosh I was one of them around the fire. I remember it, it felt significant, but I don't remember if I was meeting alters.

I had another dream when a friend died that I was talking to myself. She was like me but spiritual, best way I can describe her. She was me but not me. She lived in a castle. I since then found out there is a castle, that castle in the inner world so I guess maybe I met an alter and not myself in that dream.
