Trouble with T

Postby peaches129 » Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:47 pm

I have a delemia with my host. I wrote and vented a day ago on the protector topic board. But I want to know more what to do about a nosy brother that is 17 yrs. Older than my host. I am 53 and an alter named Kami. I want to not go to T cause I don't trust she keeps my hosts information confidential. Should I tell them like I have? And basically go on strike? My host is just dealing with drama with her controlling brother. But I don't trust the T cause she gives my confidential info out to him

Your T certainly shouldn't be telling anyone confidential information. This is a serious ethical violation. I think the best thing to do would be to confront the therapist and see how she responds. Maybe she is ignorant or there is a misunderstanding and then she should apologize and stop. But if she responds in a way that makes you uncomfortable then she is not trustworthy.

Your T talks to your brother? That is hard to believe. Have you asked your T about this? Is it possible that your brother is spying on you?

Your T tells the host or your young brother? If the later, at least in USA, that's illegal with out your permission. Tell her she's not to speak to anyone without your *written* consent. Make her write it out too. I was told by an attorney to put a time limit on it too. Like permission to speak to my medical doctor about x for 30 days.
If the host, we have had that issue too. Discussed with T as he also thought this was destructive to the relationship with the insider. Had to leave it to him to decide if withholding info from host was dangerous to system. Often he will tell insider that he thinks the host should know. Does the insider want to tell or did they want T to do it for them. Take care of your self.
