Systems on youtube

Hi,

There are systems that talk on youtube! We could never do that in like a million years but we pretty fascinated by the systems that do. Is it ok to just watch them? I mean which one is Host not going to freak out about? What are your favorites? Are there some really great ones?

actually, there are some weird ones too...
we stick with multiplicity and me, they actually got a psych degree and what they share is grounded in scientific understanding too.
if you run into 'systems' who seem very much unlike you and talk about weird things like exchanging alters with other systems... those are the role players. not sure how that became a thing, but role playing having DID IS a thing....

it is a thing, often they call themselves endogenic, claim that they have no trauma and that they created themselves. they speak for 'healthy multiplicity' whatever that may be... and sometimes talk very judgmental about real DID systems who want integration.
a lot of face claiming. that is when we get cautious. stay away from those people. they are utterly confusing, especially for younger ones.

our theory is that these people really want to try themselves in different roles and looks but don't feel free to do so as themselves, so they invent alters who are then allowed to be different, there is even a name for it. probably a lot of messed up kids behind it. but it is making us all look foolish and like we are faking it too...

Good answer. Thanks. I guess it's easier to pretend to be DID than to do it for real. Kind of mad they're messing it up for the rest of us. People are stupid I guess.

ya, they claim you can have DID without suffering. and that it is healthy. when you point out the last D stands for disorder they get mad and scream that you are gatekeeping who can have that dx...
just don't get engaged. we saw a lot of crazy stuff when people tried to confront the problem.

face claiming is basically when they pick some pictures of strangers on the internet to show people who their alters are supposed to look inside.
not saying it can't be helpful at times, but they go nuts over it. like pretending they are that person somehow or the person stands for them...

Thanks for the heads up. That's a mess we don't need. Iain's just trying to find more people like him. He likes to learn but he's only 14. He can get hurt if things go wrong.

I think it helps to check peoples social media if we can find it. just to see what they are really doing.
stay away from tumblr, that is full of confused teens.
and stay away from people who say they come from a ritual abuse or mind control background. a lot of that stuff is confusing as hell, because they are still talking half brain-washed conspiracy stuff they learned in their cult. that get triggering and crazy really fast...
I hope you can find something nice. I remember we met someone else on twitter who had a good reputation for making youtube videos but I forgot who that was.
we find videos more triggering that reading stuff, so we don't watch those videos at all.

I second Multiplicity and Me and would also suggest The Entropy System.

I just looked it up, the one that was spoken about well was DissociaDID, but tbh I get overwhelmed just looking at their page. there is a freaking reason why we don't do videos, it is all totally overstimulating.
Asti muted the entropy system because they got on her nerves...
she really really dislikes the noisy and bubbly personalities. most of the stuff she saw was not integrative, so it is against our core values... (wish there was a tired/annoyed smiley...)
it all looks like more stress than its worth.
