****Trigger Warning****(mention of self harm) *****
So the reason I ended up in the group home was because I self harmed to the point of needing stitches at least twice a month. I was sent to the State hospital for 8 months because of this and my family would not let me come back home. I then ended up back in the hospital for it. My reasons for doing it was not mental reasons but because I was not getting help for a physical illness and it was the only way I knew how to get help. So instead of being put in the state hospital again they decided to try a anti-psychotic with helped with the physical issue. So know they think it was a mental thing but it wasn't. So I am forced to take this med or be homeless. My psychologist said that the anti-psychotic I am on helps dull the alters chattering. Why would a anti-psychotic help that? I have actually only noticed the chatter since taking this med.

Disclaimer: we might react unusually badly to anti-psychotics (I don't know if this is normal or not)
We were on anti-psychotics through most of high school because of a misdiagnosis. They did not stop any chatter. We actually got more unstable likely due to the stress and the fact that the side effects were terrible for us.
