Pixie,
I know it was you who told us. I'm sorry if I made you feel small or unimportant... It was meant for Zor to see or hear. I wasn't implying it wasn't you who actually told us. I'm very sorry if that's the impression you got.

Ok, so I am finally seeing this and reading over it all...

I was terrified after I sent that message... it was the first disclosure of any sort, in a public sense, ever... first "big" one since last year's disaster...

Floralie, you said: I can't even imagine how it felt for Zor to find out about you, about himself, because I've never been in that situation. It must've been a huge shock. Do you think therapy is helping him? Or if it was just a matter of time when he'll be ready to share with someone he doesn't have to?

How did it feel to find this out, that I'm DID? It was a complete shock. I was completely unaware the day those two friends came over to talk to me- both what their intentions were AND what they would tell me. It took most of the week to even begin to process it, really, to accept it. It was genuinely terrifying. That was just the start, too... the hits kept coming, the fallout this created was (and to some degree still is) shaking out...

Is therapy helping? Yes, in most ways. I've learned a TON of about myself, all of us... we're slowly piecing together a life story that makes sense in light of what I've written in the past, the nightmares, and the narrative stories of the inner lives of everyone else... I think it's a good thing.

As for sharing with people I don't _have_ to... I didn't HAVE to share it with the people I just did... but that's also a bit of a "protected" thing, b/c it's online and I don't see them face to face... I'm rarely, if ever, going to be physically in the same place as many (if any) of them... Is it inevitable that I'll tell people? I hope so. I would LOVE to get to the point that I'm able to talk to people about this openly, to advocate awareness for people to know it exists, it's real, and it's NOT dangerous. But I don't know, honestly, if I will get to that point or not. Too soon to know.
