We are not discussing this as “proof” of having DID. I thought you were past that, and I’m not interested in arguing with your denial anymore. I’m beyond burnt out on that.
You have a part that wants to touch the dog—we don’t know why; you would have to have a dialogue with them about it. You have a part that doesn’t want to hurt the dog and doesn’t have sexual impulses toward it. I think journaling with the part that wants to will help you understand it better and help that part find an outlet that won’t be harmful to anyone.

Im not talking about proof or

denial. Im just speaking as the fact that everything is not always DID with inner conflicts. How would you be able to tell the difference if your parts arent telling you.

The conflict about the dog is CLEARLY a conflict between parts. When it feels like your body is trying to do something that you don’t want to do, that’s two parts battling for control. There is nothing subtle about what you described.
And there is no point in asking a question about how you tell for ALL conflicts. They need to be looked at one at a time.

Ugh, that's utter BS. Not everyone uses "they" or "we". We didn't for most of our life, but we also described everyone else as "they", so most just assume it's a quirk. Anyways, you have parts, and whoever said you don't doesn't know what they're talking about if that's their reasoning.

Thanks Ammy, I am just having a hard time knowing for sure if my bad impulses are a part.
