This, right here. Tell her these words and if she isn't willing to change, this is a bigger problem of respect.

The T is doing the opposite of providing care by insisting on rules that (1) aren't necessary to therapy and (2) make you uncomfortable. Where else might this counterproductive approach be showing up?

Well. Just a little update.
First of all, I forgot to address this issue in therapy. That's my bad.

Second of all, I emailed the T this week and she addressed the email to me with <body name>, <my name>. So that was better! I hoped that she meant to address it to the whole system and to me.
But then she advised to have an inner meeting with <body name> and <my name> leading it.

Sooooo.... the progress is that now apparently she does actually believe that I'm a part,
but who on Earth is <body name> supposed to be?
I thought she just thought that was my name.

I don't even know what to say to her email. :|

The "collective you"?

At least that's how we view our own bodyname. It doesn't represent any of us as individuals; it's merely a way for outside people to reference us as a whole, whether or not they know that we're multiple.

We're glad that your T is starting to hear you.

MDs
Body cis ♀ (1962). Realized 1996 that we're multiple. System of 47, all cis: 42 ♀, 5 ♂; 17 littles (0-7+), 9 middles (8-11+), 14 teens (12-17+), 5 bigs (18+), + formless yin/yang.

Thanks! I do also think she's starting to hear us. :)

But she did say that specifically I AND body name should lead the inner meeting. Then she cannot mean the collective us.

I think we're making steps in the right direction with her, I just thought it was funny that she just accidentally thought up this "part" all by herself.

True. It seems like you need to make clear to her that there is no one in the system named Bodyname.

Again, this speaks to the need for her to catch up on treatment guidelines.

Ehh, yeah. While some of us find it funny, it's also seriously frustrating and it makes me angry. It seems so arrogant to assume that there is always a part with the body name and to insist on that part being there even when the system tells you that it is not true.
Yes, it is our cover name.
But there is no part.
Come on, it's not that hard to understand!

I hope we will bring it up next time.

We definitely don’t have a part with the body name either. It refers to all of us, and we answer to it, but it doesn’t refer to a specific part. So you can tell your T that this is not uncommon. (Or at least that it’s true for other systems.) I guess all you can do is correct her and see if it sticks. I would be frustrated at continuing to be misunderstood.
